The Opportunity Card is available to recognised skilled workers or applicants who achieve at least six points under the points system. Applicants must also demonstrate that their living expenses are secured for the duration of their stay in Germany.
Proof of means of subsistence can be provided in several ways. This includes a blocked account, an official declaration of commitment, or an existing employment contract.
Since the Opportunity Card allows part-time work of up to 20 hours per week, a compliant part-time job contract can also be used to demonstrate sufficient financial means during the stay in Germany.
